The Water’s Edge Gallery is located inside the Riverside Hotel above the main lobby, and artwork in every genre is displayed throughout the hotel. A mainstay in the Boise art scene, we exhibit local and emerging artists in a vibrant and dynamic space that showcases the creativity and innovation within our community. In addition to exhibits, the Water’s Edge Gallery also hosts workshops, special art exhibits, and other events.

My passion is color. The result is hundreds of canvases I've created over the last 45 years.  Most have been sold through galleries in Arizona, California and Idaho or through my web page - RenaVandewater.com. I'm included in many public and private collections across the United States and a few in Europe.  My ideas spring from life:  traveling,  living on a  farm and a vivid imagination. After my children were grown, I went back to school and earned a Masters of Fine Art degree.  My work is harmonious and uplifting while having a strong presence of atmosphere and intensity.

I paint the way I paint to create a bountiful and beautiful world.  Helen Keller once said: "No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars or sailed to an uncharted land or opened a new heaven to the human spirit."  And Albert Einstein:  "The gift of fantasy has meant more to me than my talent for absorbing positive knowledge."
